Rochas Okorocha greeting the new Bishop of Owerri Anglican Diocese

Imo
governor,Rochas Okorocha has commended priests and members of the
Anglican Diocese of Owerri for the peaceful election and installation
of their new Bishop, Rt. Rev. Chukwuma Oparah.
The
governor who also attended the new Bishop’s inauguration in person
at the Cathedral of Transfiguration of Our Lord (CATOL) Owerri
described the new Bishop as an exemplary apostle of Christ and urged
him to remain steadfast in his new calling.
He
urged the priests and members of the Diocese to always pray for the
Bishop and give him all the cooperations he needs to serve, in the
overall interest of the Diocese, the Anglican Church and the society
at large.
The
governor commended the Anglican Church in the State for the much they
have contributed to the education, development and peace of the State
and appealed to them not to relent.
He
equally appealed to the new Bishop to always pray for the government
and people of the State, and assured that his administration would
continue to work harmoniously with the leadership of all the Churches
in the State, since the whole essence is to serve God and humanity.
