Foremost
Nigerian politician, Chief Tony Anenih, 85, is dead.
He died Sunday in a private
hospital in Abuja after a brief ailment.He is from Edo State in Southern Nigeria.
According
to family sources,the politician who quit partisan politics more than
a year ago after he suffered two quick successive deaths (wife and
son) had been frail and taking life easy.
Tony
Anenih, nicknamed Mr Fix it was one of the most influential
politicians of his era especially between 1999-2015 when PDP held
sway at the centre.
He
was married to Josephine Anenih, a lawyer, who was the chairperson of
the Federation of Women Lawyers from 1994 to 2000 and also was the
first National Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,
from 1999-2005.
