Ndigbo United for Democracy (NUD) endorses Victor Umeh

Umeh

A political pressure group,Ndigbo United for Democracy (NUD), has endorsed Chief Dr. Victor Umeh for Senate to “continue his remarkable, superlative and excellent legislative duties that have deepened the nation’s democracy.
Although Chief Victor Umeh joined his colleagues in the Senate in January 2018 after his resounding victories in numerous litigations aimed at frustrating his mandate, his performance in 8 months at the Upper Legislative Chamber is an eloquent testimony that he is the best candidate to represent Anambra Central Senatorial Zone and indeed, Ndigbo in the Senate.
A star in the East of the Niger, Umeh is the voice of the voiceless and has given Ndigbo hope that the injustices and marginalization they suffered since the civil war ended in January 1970 will be addressed.
The people-oriented motions he moved or seconded in the 8th Senate showed that he is indeed, a man of the people.
We are proud of his achievements in the Senate so far, and overwhelmingly endorse him to represent Ndigbo in particular and Nigerians in general in the 9th Senate.
His motions on “The Urgent Need to include the Eastern Rail Lines in the Nigerian Railway Development Project, Illegal Confinement of Underage Offenders and Infants in the same prison with Adult prisoners, Increase in armed roadblocks along major expressways in the South East geo-political zone”- which he seconded the motion sponsored by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, showed a leader in touch with the feelings of his people.
We urge the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone that produced this outstanding grassroots political icon to vote massively for his candidacy in the forthcoming Senatorial election. Nigerians need courageous patriots with the milk of human kindness in the Senate who will give direction to the ship of the Nigeria state in our collective efforts at building a strong, progressive and prosperous democratic nation.”
